I got a text from Minna yesterday saying she gets a day off from work on Monday why don't we go watch Toy Story 3 then. I thought it was full house everywhere in Hong Kong because I tried to book the ticket a week ago but couldn't find any empty seats in all the cinemas in HK. I tried yesterday, luckily there were seats still available, but somehow my VISA card wouldn't work. :( So we decided to be there early today so we could make sure there were still seats available. We planned on going to a cinema called The Grand at 1730, twenty minutes before the movie starts.
But your dumb girlfriend was LATE, so we had to watch the next show instead.
Here I tell you why.
I swear I left home at the right time. It should only take 25 minutes to be at the cinema from home, so I left home at 1700 and thought I would be on time. Normally when I need to go somewhere, I would need to take either a 10 minutes bus or a mini bus trip to the closest MTR station from home. But sometimes if my destination is somewhere I can just take a bus to get to, I would choose that because it seems easier for me.
Most of the time I take the MTR because it is always the most convienient way to get to places. It never delay, the longest you'd have to wait for the next train is never more than 3 minutes, it's very clean and very safe. There is not a single place in Hong Kong that you can't get to by MTR, Hong Kong is small enough to go around just by the railway. It is also convienient by the way it connects with shopping malls and other transportations and even apartment buildings. Some apartment buildings were built above the station, so people can just get in the lift from the station and will be right at home next time the door opens.
THis is the MTR system map. It's like any other cities' underground, what only special about it, is that we have underwater tunnels. There are four underwater tunnels for cars in Hong Kong, so obviously it isn't hard for us to have undersea tunnels for railways. Hong Kong is seriously not that big, and the transportation are just so convienient; there's no way you can't get from one point to the other within an hour. Unless you are dumb like your girlfriend who got lost all the time.
This is part of the MTR map showing the area thatI live. You hear a lot of planes because I live pretty close to the airport :) The closest station from home is the last station of the red line, called Tsuen Wan.
The red point is about the place I live. You see I don't live right by the station, but it's just ten minutes away by bus to get to Tsuen Wan. The place where I was going today. where the cinema was, was in a shopping mall called 'Elemants' which was above the Kowloon station. So all I needed to do was take a bus to Tsuen Wan station, take the red line, change to the yellow line at Lai King station, then reach Kowloon station after three more stations. Easy.
Since it was sooo easy, your girlfriend wanted to go for some more complicated ways and tried to be smart. She wanted some quicker ways to reach Kowloon station, and she didn't want to take her normal routine, meaning taking a bus to Tsuen Wan, take the red line then change to the yellow line at Lai King and take the train to Kowloon. There was actually a bus directly from home to Lai King, and all she would need to do is get off at that station and take the yellow line to Kowloon.
However, I wasn't familiar with that bus (I've only got on twice) so I missed the stop in Lai King, where I was supposed to get off. I thought it was alright because the next bus stop was right by the MTR station, too, and was just two stations away from Lai King.
SO I got off at Lai Chi Kwok station, and took the MTR back to Lai King. I arrived at Lai King, everything was all good and well. I walked across the hall to change to the yellow line which I was supposed to, but after a couple minutes when the train came, I realized I was waiting for the wrong train because this train was heading to the opposite direction. I was glad that I found it out before getting on, so I left and searched for the right train. I walked to the upper level where the sign says that's where I would find my right train, by the time I was doing that, I realized I was close to the meeting time so I was kinda in a hurry. Then I heard door closing sound so I ran in the train without looking at which train it was (I was assuming that was the only train left that I could take). I got on, I sent Minna a text joking how silly it was to run in the train like some middle aged women who do that all the time, then I realized I got on the wrong train.
I got on the train which was heading to the bus stop direction. I thought it was really dumb of me and that was pretty funny, I couldn't stop laughing when I looked at the display screen above me saying where the train was heading to. I wished you could have been there because it would have been pretty entertaining for you also.
So I had to get off before I really head back to the bus stop, and I needed to take another train back to Lai King again.
By the time I finally got on the yellow line, it was already pass the movie show time. Minna arrived early (altho she was still a bit later than our meeting time), and decided to watch the next show which was at 1950. She has already bought the tickets while I was still trying to figure out which train to take. Minna was not happy for sure, but I got to make her happy again so it was fine haha. We decided to eat first, but we forgot to look online to see which restaurant to go so we just randomly picked a restaurant and hoped it was good. We had a great time talking and eating at a Thai restaurant. It was great food and great environment, but also pretty expensive. We realized how we never cared about how much we spend, and the both of us really have to start saving money from now on. It's true tho, your girlfriend isn't a very good money saver. I got spoiled from not having to work for spending money, whenever I want money all I need to do is take it out from the money drawer that my parents provided. Oh boyfriend, I want to be great like you, you work hard saving money and you spend your own money and pay for your own stuff. Your girlfriend doesn't even have a job but spend like a horse :/ Boyfriend you are great, you make me feel like a baby.
By the time we got done eating, it was already about time to head to the cinema. Minna tried her best to get two seats together, but it was a full house tonight, there were only two single seats left in the whole house, so we couldn't sit right next to each other. It sucked, and what even sucked was that, no one ever came and sat on the seat right next to me the whole time. Minna could just have moved here and we could have sat together... oh well.
(Not sure what's going on with my bro, he puts up different horror movies every night and I am now being distracted by it.)
IT WAS SUCH A GREAT MOVIE! Umm.. I mean Toy Story 3. We watched it in 3D (but it was more like a 4D movie.. there were special effects through the seats). IT WAS SOOOOOOOOOO GOOD. Good job Pixar! It was sooo well done and SO FUNNY. Very touching also, Minna said she cried the whole time during the movie. I LOVED the movie and oh it was just AWESOME. It was simply entertaining! There was a scene which was supposed to be touching, almost everyone was crying in the house and it was dead silence with some sniffing sound.. but I thought that scene was SO FUNNY and I was laughing out by myself SO LOUD. :P
We walked around and went home soon after the movie. I didn't get on the wrong train this time but I accidently grabbed some random person when I was trying to keep my balance while the train was moving. Minna laughed at me and I kept appologizing to the lady. The lady thought it was funny too, but I just felt stupid.
This is all I got from my aunt, the one who called and said she has bought me stuffs. She got all kinds of stuff from all over the world, England, Japan... and some of them were from famous brands which would have costed her a lot. It was very nice of her, however, most of the things she bought (or has been buying) for me aren't what I would normally use. We have totally different tastes for sure; but I still appreciate how nice and generous she is to me.
For example this is one of the bags she bought for me. It is from a famous brand and would cost her a couple hundred USD in order to get this bag, but it's not something I would normally use because a) I don't like the colour pink, b) it's made of plastic and I don't normally appreciate things that are made of plastic.. But it was nice of her to spend money on me, and she said she bought it just for me so I am happy to have a new bag :)
Minna and I were talking about a new Hong Kong movie during our way home, and she mentioned the name of these two guys since they were in it. She said she found them very very hot and cute and very attractive; both her mum and her were soooo excited when they were watching the movie. I said, "Aren't they and my father are the same style?" because my father's that type of men also. And immediately, without thinking, Minna went "Yea that's why I've always admire your dad."
It was SOOOO FUNNY. I laughed SO HARD and I told her she is more than welcome to come hang out with my dad, even when I'm not in Hong Kong. And best yet, he's no longer married! It was sooo funny. She said she would pass the chance to her mum (who's also single) hahahaa.
Oh boyfriend I MISS YOU. You have no idea how much I am missing you silly boy. Ahhhhh guess what, boyfriend, this blog post took me over 3 hours to finish. I messed up with the pictures, I didn't upload some of them which I have already deleted them from the computer, and uploaded the same pictures twice. I messed up with the order and it took me so long to fix it... and I tried to upload more pictues and now the internet isn't behaving. Ahhhhhhh what's going on with girlfriend? It's now 3.36 in the morning and I am not even sleepy yet. BOyfriend I miss you. Guess I need you to be here. Boyfriend...... I NEEEEEEEEEEEED YOU!
Muah! Can't wait to talk to you in the morning. Okay I should go to sleep now because once I fall asleep, time goes by faster so that I can see you sooner! Ha!
We went to the hotel longe of Regal Hotel International for lunch. It was the best Italian cuisine in that area, we wanted to try that restaurant ages ago and I am leaving soon, so my mum took a day off and booked the table for today. It was a great place with great food with a great view but in great price. Well, let's forget about the money part.... anyway everything was AWESOME and we had a great time eating and chatting.
